Today is my brother’s b-day…he’s 15 now so that means he can start driving now once he gets his permit…SCARY! 

We had gymnastics practice this morning from 9-12pm at this gym an hour away and we got to workout w/another team.  Our first optionals meet is this Friday February 10^th at the Shannon Center (if you wanna go ask me & I’ll give you directions).  The next meet is at Irving, then I think FEW (HEB gym).  We are hosting districts at Central HS…so I better see everyone there or else…jk!  Also if you know of any upcoming freshmen tell them about gymnastics cuz out of 8 people on our team (including guys & girls…Ross is our only guy) 4 of us are seniors so we need more ppl. 

February 18^th is Aggieland Saturday!  I’m gonna be sooo tired that day cuz the night b4 we have a meet.  So were gonna have to leave really early Sat morning and then we are gonna stay in a hotel that night (my dad has earned enough points for a free stay from his work)!  I’m get to look at the engineering stuff and other activities.  My bro is getting dragged into coming even tho I’m sure he doesn’t want to come, but there is this percussion thing around 1pm there that we will go to. 

Speaking of percussion…they are having a percussion concert on March 10 @7pm (I think)!  My bro has been talking about it & they have been practicing every Thursday night & it sounds like a lot of fun. I was planning on going until I realized I have a gymnastics meet THAT NIGHT!  I’m so mad cuz their concerts are so cool!  My parents said they are going to tape it for me…but it won’t be the same.  So I’m bummed about that.

One more thing…we just found out that my grandpa is in the hospital because of a farming accident.  He was helping my uncle (my uncle took over my grandparents farm in Iowa) do something on his farm and somehow he lost his thumb.  I’m not sure of all the details but he just went into surgery today around 3pm and it is supposed to take 6-8 hours.  Please pray that everything goes well…thanks!  ~Kelly~

My 5 weird habits…

1. When I get ready in the morning I do the same routine every day…brush teeth, do make-up,  fix hair, get dressed, eat, then leave
2. I can usually always find something wrong w/the way I look (who doesn’t?)
3. It annoys me when teachers erase their board, but they don’t erase it completely, leaving a few stray marks
4. Every class I have to pop my back on the back of the chair
5. Anytime I do a difficult skill in gymnastics I do the same things before I go to psych myself up, especially when it’s a scary skill…giants, fulls on floor, backhandsprings on beam, etc.

Friday was our first gymnastics meet and we all did really well!  I competed all-around & my scores were…

The meet was in Garland…lets just say it was a long drive there and back.  We went there and competed against our coach’s old high school team (Lakeview Centennial) and other schools around there.  Next Friday (Dec. 2^nd) is against L.D. Bell at the FEW.  I don’t know where that is but I think it is some sort of fine arts building HEBISD shares.  So basically that means I’m not going to go to the Winter Formal.  Sorry…I’m sure you’ll miss me!  J/K!  (So if anyone wants to skip the dance they can come to my meet!  By the way, you didn’t hear this from me!)  Actually, everyone should go to the dance cuz it will be a lot of fun (even though I won’t be there!)  and it’s our NHS fundraiser.  We also have another meet there the next week (Dec. 9^th).  All our meets until February are compulsory, but after that is optional.  They aren’t as boring cuz we get to make up our own routines!  Everyone should come to one of our meets cuz…they are the best and if you come afterwards we all go to Chili’s and you can hang out w/us!  If you can’t make those dates just ask me & I’ll give you other times you can watch me!  Oh, we’re hosting 3 meets at our gym in Keller (off Katy Rd. and Keller Hicks) and we’re hosting District at Central H.S.!  I can’t wait!  This year we are definitely going to make it to State.  Last year we made it to Regionals and a couple went to state, but this year we are all going to go.  Here are some pics from the meet...

Saturday our team went to Chiropractic USA in Keller and “Flipped For Cans.”  Every can someone brought in we had to do some skill.  We averaged 50 flips (830 total) for every person who was there.  It was actually a lot of fun. 

I’m so glad it is finally Thanksgiving cuz I am really needing a break from school (mainly English).  Medical Terminology and Anatomy isn’t too bad considering we haven't done anything at all because we haven’t had a teacher until last week.  She’s nice and all but she actually makes us work and learn.  I liked it the way it was before…Social Hour!  That class was basically a waste.  I could have taken different classes that were actually worthwhile.  Oh well, that was my blow-off semester.  After Christmas I have…Govt/econ, Calculus BC, physics, & GYMNASTICS!  Well, I probably better go work on my senior theme and scholarships.  I finally got my applications done.  I hate writing essays, I get enough in Mrs. Isgitt’s class!
